Who We Are
Joe Cooney
Founder & Head Coach
Joe has come through the academy system at National League side Altrincham FC, after completing his YTS he then earned himself a year as a full time professional with their first team. He now still plays and enjoys his football lower down the football pyramid .
Whilst playing full time football Joe also gained coaching experience with a number of different grassroot teams and development centres.
He then set up Player Development UK in October 2023 and is currently working his way through his UEFA coaching badges.
Mikey Ibeto
Lead Coach
Mikey brings a passion for football and a wealth of experience. After completing a 2 year scholarship programme at ProDirectSoccer he has gone on to play at a very respectable level within the football pyramid.
As our Lead coach Mikey specialises in bringing the best out of the players on and off the pitch. He has played a key role in helping our academy grow and thrives to further develop its success.
